Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to everyone who uses the Thelsy API service. It supplements our Terms of Service. If there is a conflict between this policy and the Terms of Service, this policy governs the specific conduct it addresses.

1. Purpose

The Service is an API access service for lawful software development. It provides programmatic access to artificial intelligence models so that you can build and operate your own applications. You are responsible for everything you send to the Service and for everything you do with the output you receive.

2. Prohibited content

You must not use the Service to create, request, distribute or facilitate:

• any content that is illegal in your jurisdiction, in ours, or under the rules of the upstream model provider;
• sexual content involving minors, in any form, or any content that sexualises minors;
• non-consensual sexual content, intimate imagery of real people, or sexual content generated without consent;
• deepfake or face-swap material, or synthetic likenesses of real people used to deceive or to cause harm;
• sexual, pornographic or sexually suggestive material of any kind;
• harassment, threats, hate speech, or content inciting violence or discrimination against any person or group;
• content promoting self-harm, suicide or eating disorders;
• material that infringes copyright, trade marks, trade secrets or other intellectual property rights;
• material that violates the privacy or personal data rights of any person;
• misinformation intended to deceive, including fabricated evidence, impersonation of real people or organisations, or coordinated inauthentic content.

3. Prohibited uses

You must not use the Service to:

• develop, deploy or distribute malware, ransomware, spyware, or to conduct unauthorised access or intrusion;
• commit fraud, or to deceive, mislead or defraud any person;
• send spam or unsolicited bulk communications, or to run coordinated inauthentic activity;
• generate content for academic dishonesty, fake reviews, or to manipulate platforms or rankings;
• provide regulated professional advice (legal, medical, financial) without appropriate licensed human oversight;
• attempt to bypass, disable, circumvent or reverse-engineer any safety system, filter, rate limit or usage limit of the Service or of the upstream models;
• extract model behaviour systematically, or to distil, replicate, fine-tune or reverse-engineer the underlying models;
• resell, sublicense or redistribute raw access to the Service without our prior written agreement;
• share, publish or embed API keys in client-side code or any environment accessible to third parties;
• use the Service in breach of the upstream model provider's usage policies, or in any way that causes us to breach them.

4. Transparency and AI disclosure

• Outputs are generated by third-party models and may be inaccurate, incomplete or biased. You must not present them as verified fact or as professional advice.
• Where the law or the platform you publish on requires disclosure that content was generated or assisted by AI, you must make that disclosure.
• Our service is an independent API gateway. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any AI model provider, and you must not represent it as such.

5. Security and account conduct

• Keep your API keys confidential and rotate them if you suspect exposure.
• Do not attempt to access other customers' accounts, data or usage.
• Do not probe, scan or load-test the Service without our written permission.
• Report suspected abuse or a security issue to support@thelsy.com.

6. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected breaches. Depending on severity we may issue a warning, throttle or suspend your keys, or terminate your account. Serious breaches, or repeated breaches after a warning, will result in termination without refund. Where we are legally required to do so, or where there is a risk to a person, we may report conduct to the relevant authorities.

7. Reporting abuse

To report content or behaviour that breaches this policy, email support@thelsy.com with the API key identifier (first and last few characters only), the time of the request, and a description of the issue.

8. Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes in law, upstream provider requirements, or our service. The current version always appears on this page with its "Last updated" date. Material changes will be notified by email or in your dashboard.
